Applied Courses in Humanities

Upper-year students have the opportunity to gain valuable experience by using skills and knowledge acquired in the classroom in an outside learning experience, all while gaining credit towards their degree. Students work with a supervising professor to identify learning goals and objectives, as well as methods of evaluation, and then participate in pedagogy, research, and work placements in fields related to a Humanities discipline. Some examples of past work include: editorial internships, teaching assistantships with the public and separate school boards, library research, curatorial internships, archaeological digs, the Gandhi Peace Festival, theatrical productions, and more!

Eligibility

Students can take an Applied Humanities course in:

  • Level 3 (HUMAN 3W03) and/or
  • Level 4 (HUMAN 4W03)

Students can take each course only once.
